"Her death date of July 03, 1850 is from the widow's pension record for 1850, source: U. S. Treasury, "Records of the Office of the Third Auditor of the Treasury, 1818-1872: Ledgers of Payments, 1818-1872, to U.S. Pensioners Under Acts of 1818 through 1858," NARA Records of the Accounting Officers of the Dept. of the Treasury, Record Group 217, National Archives, Washington, D.C., microfilm publication T718;database, digital images, U.S. Pensioners, 1818-1872, Ancestry.com (www.ancestry.com : accessed Dec. 11, 2013) The census record states that it was taken on Sept. 30, 1850; however, the official enumeration date for the 1850 census was June 1st.
Rebecca was living with the John Long family in Gratis Twp., Preble Co., OH, in the U. S. Federal census for 1850, taken Sept. 30, 1850. No relationship is given in the census record; however John Long died in Aug. of 1850, leaving a will, which names John L. Garrison, son of Rebecca and Leonard Garrison (living next to them in 1850) as "nephew." Others named in the will were children and grandchildren of David Long and Sarah Flowers, so we have reason to believe that John L. Garrison, who died without issue, was their son."

"This cemetery is not far from the Mount Olive Church, which is located at 154 Donham Rd., Mapletown (Monongahela Township, Greene County) Pennsylvania 15338
_____
This cemetery is also known as the Jacob Garrison Cemetery or the Cemetery on the Schuyler Garrison Farm (Monongahela Township, Greene County, PA).
_____
Leonard Garrison, was the younger brother to Capt. George Garrison, who is also buried in this cemetery. They were the sons of Frederick Garrison Jr. and Margaret Haynes. The youngest brother, Jacob Garrison, inherited the farm when their father died.
Comment on above:
Leonard Garrison and his older brother Capt. George Garrison both married into the Long family, George married Elizabeth Long & Leonard married Rebecca Long. The wife's were 1st cousins to each other. Elizabeth's father was John Long III and Rebecca's father was David Long. Both fathers were the sons of John Long Jr. and Ann Herrington.
_____
One of the oldest sons of Leonard Garrison and Rebecca Long was David Garrison (my 3rd great-grandfather), he was named after his mothers father, David Long. There is very little information on David Garrison. We can find him in the 1830 census living at Monongahela Township, Greene County, Pennsylvania. We can also find him in the 1840 census living at Washington Township, Greene County, Pennsylvania. David Garrison may have had at least 3 sons and at least one daughter. We only know the name of one son, Daniel (my 2nd great-grandfather). This Daniel Garrison is buried at West Alexander Cemetery, West Alexander, Donegal Twp, Washington County, Pennsylvania. His grave Memorial can be found at link below.
