  Posted by Ed Martin on Thu, 27 Apr 2000 Surname: Long, Dulaney, Kennan, Gorby Joseph E. "Soggy" Long, 85, of Pine Grove, WV, died Monday, April 24, 2000, at home. He was retired from Union Carbide, Hastings, WV, a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Pine Grove, and an Army veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse H. and Leah F. Dulaney Long; two brothers, Homer and Norman; and a sister, Mildred Dulaney. Surviving are his wife, Aletta D. "Letty" Keenan Long; a son, David E. and his wife, Mary Lou, of Pine Grove; three step-grandchildren, Roger Gorby and his wife, Tiffany, Michael Gorby, all of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Tammy Gorby of Clarksburg, WV; and two step great-grandchildren. Friends received 2-9 p.m. Wednesday at Palmer Funeral Home, Pine Grove. Friends then received from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul United Methodist Church.
