9656 I10537  Moyston  Blanche Elizabeth      When adding Blanche to the website I found that she was already there and connected to no other family members. The only information was that she had died and there were six sources to support this. The oddity was that all sources are from my father's side of the family and Blanche is my mothers side of the family. No other relatives already in this database share a single source. I am deleting the sources but keeping a record of them in her notes.

In addi tion to Abner, they were the parents of James, John, Jonathan, Margaret Hart, Eleanor, Eli, Levi, Joseph and Andrew.
From 1776 - A Time to Rember by Doroth y T. Hennen
James Mundell was brought to America at age 15 by his father, Jame s Mundell. The son became an apprentice to a cask maker or cooper. James finished his apprenticeship at age 21. He was offered a horse, saddle, and a suit of clothes, or the sum of $100.00 and his craftsman papers, as
was the custom. He took the latter, and later went to Chester, PA where he joined a group of young men going west. They hit the Monogahela River, near Pittsburg and came up that river to the south of Little Whitely Creek, He staked one s quare mile or nearly 600 acres on the west
side of the river in the vicinity of Whitely Creek, Ceylon, and Turkey Knob in Monongahela Township, Green County, Pennsylvania and named it "Mundell's Choice. His family cemetery is on a high hill ove rlooking the river and
Ceylon.
James and Margaret lived in Delaware for seve ral years following their marriage. On Feb.13, 1753 James bought land from h is father-inlaw in Christiana and Mill Creek Hundreds, New Castle Co., DE (De ed Book x3:611).
In August 1764James was baptised and received into membership of the Brandywine Baptist Church near Chadd's Ford.
On April 8, 1765 James sold his land in Newcastle Co. DE to William Cloud.
On August 4, 1769 James an d Margaret were received into membership in the Welsh Tract Baptist Church at Oencader Hundred, New Castle Co., DE. On January 26, 1776 James and Margare t were received into membership of the Goshen Baptist Church (Washington Co., PA) by letter of transfer.
On January 19,1 785 he warrented a tract of land f or Mundell's Choice and on March 1, 1790 he was granted apatent for this land .
James Mundell told Colonel Crawford that a plot existed to kill Col. Crawf ord, Col. John Minor and Rev. John Corbly since they were reconized leaders o f the Whig Party. Later James Mundell to Col. Crawford'f fort and told him t hat a large force of Tories were Collecting. The DAR has
accepted the papers of James Mundell as a patriot for his part in quelling the Tory uprising in PA.
From The Mundell (Mundle) Family by Ruth Mundell Barry 1968 All the sett lers in the Tenmile Country are descendents of James and Margaret. Mundell's Choice wasnear the forks of Little Whitely Creek near Ceylon. The land was warranted to him on January 19, 1785. The
land was near Aaron Jenkin's Fort and the Mundells do not seem to have suffered from Indians like some of their neighbors.
