8357 | There is undocumented evidence that Margaret Runyon/Runyan, born1799 in Sevier County,Tennessee was the daughter of Barefoot Runyan and Margaret Rambo. Most documented records of this family include six male children. This could be that most of the origional researchers only followed the male lines, as sadly is a common practice amoung some genealogists, or simply reflects the fact that she is not thier daughter. As a matter of note the geographic region and the dates of birth seem to line up perfectly. If this proves to be case this would make her name either Elizabeth Margaret or Margaret Elizabeth. Elizabeth was also known as "Lizzie" Runyan/Runyon/Runyun. Lizzie went to live with her eldest son Wiley after the death of her husband Nathan. In the 1850 Sevier County, Tennessee Census, there is an Elizabeth King age seventy one living with her son Wyly King age forty nine, and wife Margaret Adair King age forty nine. From the information gathered so far, Elizabeth would have been born about 1779, married about 1795 or early 1796, at age sixteen or seventeen. Her first child, daughter Lavina King was born about 1796, her second child son, Wyley King was born in February of 1798. Elizabeth would have been age thirty nine when her last child, son Andrew Jackson King was born. Elizabeth was about age seventy three when she died in Sevier County, Tennessee. Sources: Bible - Family Bible Showing William and Lavina as spouses. They are shown as parents to Nathanial King. Bible is in the King family line of Char King Scott. 1830 Federal Census, McMinn County, Tennessee. 1840 Federal Census, Sevier County, Tennessee. 1850 Federal Census, Sevier County, Tennessee, Elizabeth King age seventy one.
