[dropcap]I [/dropcap]have so many great names in my family tree. A favorite name for boys would be Christian Alexander and a favorite name for girls would be Catherine Scarlett. Picking the names of my children would be too easy.
In the way of a favorite ancestral name, it is one that my family liked enough to use two more times.
The award for favorite name goes to …
Topliff Tapley Trippett aka Tapliff Topley Triplett. Say that triplett times fast! When I think of this name I can envision a man in a slightly worn suit, a gentleman. When he puts his hand out for a firm handshake of introduction he proudly announces and enunciates his name. I have also envisioned him and this part of the family as jovial tricksters. Knowing the surname was once more of a nickname for a magician or performer of tricks, this fits.
In the 2010 Federal Census, only 500 people carry the surname Trippett.
Below is a summary of the descendants of Govy Trippett. Topliff Tapley Trippett and those name after him are highlighted.
